CESA 10 Company Information

Profile:

In 1965, the Wisconsin legislature recognized the need for a service unit between the school district and the state superintendent. CESA 10 is one of 12 in Wisconsin and provides services to 29 member school districts in northwest Wisconsin. The specific services provided to each district vary depending on the district’s needs. Services are offered on a cooperative basis and therefore cost effective for member districts. CESA 10 has traditionally offered services in three general areas: special education, instructional services, and instructional technology. In recent years, due to needs of our member school districts, services have expanded to include administrative software support for school business officials and facilities management services.

The CESA 10 operation is governed by a Board of Control composed of eleven members that are school board members from districts that are part of the CESA 10. Members are elected at an annual convention in accordance with a representation plan adopted by the delegate convention. The Board of Control meets monthly, serving the same function as local boards of education.
